Exertus means in Latin "The project". It is the framework of any idea that tends to be realized and to take a form that is never finished. Exertus could make us believe that a thing is finished and would have found its apogee in terms of reflection and form. But everything shows us that this is not the case. There are only moments chosen and frozen in order to bring the work into the world. Pierre Clemens highlights here the illusion of a finished project which would have found its final form. Any project is for him only a proposal of an instant.

Exertus signifie en latin "Le projet". Il est le cadre de toute idée qui tend à se réaliser et à prendre une forme qui en soit n'est jamais finie. Exertus pourrait faire croire qu'une chose est terminée et aurait trouvée son apogée en termes de réflexion et de forme. Hors tout nous montre en permanence qu'il n'en est rien. Il n'y a que des instants choisis et figés afin de mettre au monde l'œuvre. Pierre Clemens met ici en exergue l'illusion d'un projet fini qui aurait trouvé sa forme définitive. Tout projet n'est pour lui qu'une proposition d'un instant.
